<p> A Friendly Introduction to Engineering Activities for 3 rd – 8 th grade teachers Teaching Engineering Made Easy Workshop Presented by Celeste Baine</p><p>Come learn how to give girls and boys the tools to get involved and be successful in the engineering field.</p><p>Celeste has advised students on the challenges and benefits of obtaining an engineering degree for the past decade. This workshop will help you work with your students utilizing hands-on activities and examples of how the 32 kinds of engineering are creative, flexible, collaborative, and lucrative. Celeste is an award winning author and has written over twenty books and booklets on engineering careers. She recently was named one of the Nifty-Fifty individuals who have made a major impact on the field of engineering by the USA Science and Engineering Festival. Each teacher will receive a certificate for professional development hours, lunch and continental breakfast as well as a copy of Teaching Engineering Made Easy and the Engineers Can Do Anything DVD. Each school will receive a set of materials for 4 different activities and prizes for the student (for the first ten schools that register.) </p><p>When: Thursday, April 5</p><p>Where: Martin Regional Library, 2601 S Garnett Rd, Tulsa </p><p>Time: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.</p><p>Cost: no charge</p><p>*Seating is limited to 26. A reservation is a firm commitment that you will participate.
