<p> Safety Guidelines</p><p>1. Read the lab before starting the lab. 2. Follow the directions. 2. Absolutely no eating, drinking or chewing in lab area (especially lab materials). 4. Do not misuse lab equipment. 5. Use a 30cm voice. 6. No horse playing. 7. All labs require teacher supervision. 8. Notify teacher of any injury, breakage, or spills. 3. Do not use chipped glassware without teacher notification first. 4. Do not leave the Bunsen burner or hot plates unattended. 5. Keep test tube mouth pointed away from people at all times. 6. Acid into water. 7. Never smell anything directly. 8. Always wear goggles & aprons when required. 9. Keep equipment in the center of the lab bench. 10. Keep electrical equipment away from water (including wet hands). 11. Never stir with a thermometer. 12. Do not shake down thermometers. 13. Never return unused portion of chemicals to original container 14. Label all glassware when required. 15. Keep all chemicals away from open flame unless instructed by your teacher. 16. Keep all lab materials & yourself at the assigned lab bench. 17. Do not leave your lab group or socialize with other groups during lab. 18. Know where all safety equipment is located and how to use it 19. Always clean up your lab area and return the lab bench to its original state. 20. Wash hands after use.</p>
