<p>Faculty Position in Forensic Molecular Biology: The Department of Biological Sciences at </p><p>Emporia State University seeks to fill a nine-month tenure-track position in molecular biology with a focus on forensic sciences beginning August 2015. A Ph.D. is expected by the start date. Teaching responsibilities will be within the newly formed Master of Science in Forensic Science (MSFS) program (molecular techniques for forensic scientists, and research and seminar courses as needed) and undergraduate and graduate level molecular and cell biology courses in the Department of </p><p>Biological Sciences; there will also be opportunities to develop specialty courses that complement our existing offerings. The ability to teach Criminalistics (a lecture and laboratory course) is desirable but not necessary. Faculty typically teach 12 contact hours per semester (or equivalent work load). Development of an active research program involving master’s-level graduate students is expected. Salary range: $50,000-$53,000.
