<p> How to Add STA SUPPRESSED to HOL Records from a Set of Bib Numbers</p><p> Have your saved set of Bib records on the server in either the data_scratch or alephe_scratch directory.</p><p> In you have a file from Save on Server in the Search module it will be in alephe_scratch. </p><p> You can see it from the Staff Menu (xx.atest.fcla.edu/S). My file of Bib keys is called zab.</p><p> Click on the file name to see the correct format of your Bib Records:</p><p>Convert Your Bib keys to HOL keys  In Cataloging, go to Services menu -> General -> Record Key Retrieval (manage-70)</p><p>Input File: Enter the name of the file that contains the source list of record keys. This file can be created by another service ( ex. ret-01), or by the Save on Server option in the Search function. When the record keys are ADM, item, order or barcode in origin, ALEPH will first look for it in the data_scratch directory of the administrative library and alephe_scratch. When the record keys are BIB in origin, ALEPH will look for it in the data_scratch directory of the bibliographic library and in alephe_scratch.</p><p>Output File: Enter the name of the output file you want the information to be saved. When the output file is ADM, item, order or barcode it can be found in data_scratch directory of the administrative library. If the output file is BIB it can be found in the data_scratch directory of the bibliographic library. If the output file is HOL it can be found in the data_scratch directory of the holding library. In all cases the output file is also copied to alephe_scratch. Convert Library: Required for BIB and HOL type conversion only. For other types of conversion, leave the field blank.</p><p> In Task Manager, check the Batch Log for the completion or ‘Success’ of the run and conversion of the keys.</p><p> Check to make sure you are in the correct library, i.e. NFU01</p><p> You can view your output file, zab_hol, in the Staff Menu to see the converted HOL record keys.</p><p> Click on the file name to view the converted HOL record keys.</p><p>Use Global Change to Add Tag STA SUPPRESSESD  In Cataloging, go to Services menu -> Catalog Maintenance Procedures -> Global Changes (manage-21)</p><p> *NOTE: Make sure you are in the xxx60 Holdings Library</p><p> Your Input File will the the output file from manage_70 that converted your bibs to hols.</p><p> First run the global change with the ‘Update Database’ radio button set to ‘No’.</p><p> View your Output file “zab_hol_report” from Task Manager -> File List.  If all looks good, run your service again with ‘Update Database’ radio button set to ‘Yes’.</p>
