<p>Joyce Anne Wainio Joyce Anne Wainio is Vice President of the National Center for Healthcare Leadership, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to be a catalyst to assure that high-quality, relevant, and accountable health management leadership is available to meet the needs of 21st century healthcare. In this role, Joyce Anne oversees NCHL’s operations, marketing and communications, annual leadership symposium, and National Healthcare Leadership Award. She is also responsible for NCHL’s individual, team, and organizational assessments and national demonstration projects, including Nurse-Team Leadership, Graduate Health Management Education, and Diversity Leadership. </p><p>Joyce Anne has extensive experience in healthcare financing, administration, care management, technology assessment, quality measurement, and public policy issues. Her career has spanned work in innovative not-for-profit healthcare organizations, the Federal government, national and state associations, and hospital management. She has served as director of member relations for the American Hospital Association (AHA) directly supporting CEO involvement in AHA's work on key policy and advocacy issues. Prior to that, Joyce Anne was the senior analyst and project associate for the National Chronic Care Consortium (NCCC) where she developed practice-based products and resources —including issue briefs, guidelines, and education materials—to drive the organization's vision of improved care delivery systems for the chronically ill. She also served as program analyst and acting division director of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Office of Legislation and Policy of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. </p><p>Joyce Anne holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University. </p>
