<p> No. 214.1</p><p>SECTION: PUPILS WELLSBORO AREA TITLE: HONOR ROLL SCHOOL DISTRICT ADOPTED: November 8, 2005 REVISED:</p><p>214.1. HONOR ROLL</p><p>This policy will be used at the Middle School and for the class of 2009 to determine a student's placement on the Distinguished Honor Roll and the Honor Roll.</p><p>1. Purpose The Distinguished Honor Roll and Honor Roll will be determined using the student's nine (9) week grades in each course. The grade reported in percentage form for each course will be multiplied by its credit value. These products will be added together and then divided by the total number of credits. This quotient will be the GPA percentage.</p><p>2. Guidelines Any student receiving a score equal to or below 76.999% in any course is not eligible for the Distinguished Honor Roll or Honor Roll.</p><p>Students earning the classification of Distinguished Honor Roll must have a GPA percentage of 93 or greater.</p><p>Page 1 of 3 214.1. HONOR ROLL - Pg. 2</p><p>Students earning a classification of Honor Roll must have a GPA percentage within the range of 85% and 92.999%.</p><p>Distinguished Honor Roll and Honor Roll will be determined using the student's nine (9) week grades in each course. The grade reported in percentage form for each course will be converted to the following 4.0 scale:</p><p>% Range 93 – 100 = 4.0 85 – 92.999 = 3.0 77 – 84.999 = 2.0 70 – 76.999 = 1.0 0 – 69.999 = 0</p><p>The converted score will be multiplied by the class' credit value. These products will be added together and the sum divided by the total number of credits. This quotient will be the GPA.</p><p>Any student receiving a score equal to or below 76.999 in any course is not eligible for the Distinguished Honor Roll or Honor Roll.</p><p>Students earning the classification of Distinguished Honor Roll must have a GPA of 3.75 or greater. Students earning a classification of Honor Roll must have a GPA within the range of 3.0 and 3.74.</p><p>For the classes graduating prior to 2009, the same system that was used in the past will continue to be used except for the adjustment in the new grading scale and the qualification factor of not receiving a score of 76% or below in any course.</p><p>Page 2 of 3 214.1.
