<p> OCBC Business Development and Administrative Intern</p><p>Orange County Business Council is a membership based non-profit organization that is located in Irvine, California. OCBC is the leading voice of business on important issues locally, regionally and nationally, serving the interests of its valued members and investors. The organization works to enhance Orange County’s economic development and prosperity to preserve a high quality of life.</p><p>OCBC is currently seeking a motivated and creative BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ADMINSTRATIVE INTERN to assist with the organization's membership activities and administrative duties. This person will report to the Vice President of Investor Relations and Business Development and/or Assistant to the President. This internship must be completed for Academic Credit and requires a minimum commitment of eight hours per week, for a minimum duration of three months. Reliable transportation is required.</p><p>Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities  Research new investor prospects.  Develop directory of investors and update database.  Perform various administrative tasks such as data entry, answering phone calls, drafting letters, mailings, filing, assembling investor information kits, and database maintenance.</p><p>Knowledge and Skills  Applicant must be self-motivated, responsible, dependable, and dedicated to the mission and values of OCBC.  Applicant must be comfortable working in an office environment and interacting with business professionals.  Applicant must possess strong writing skills and web-based research abilities.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is required.  Familiarity with social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter is preferred.  Strong organizational and interpersonal skills</p><p>Benefits  Extensive high-level networking opportunities.  Gain experience working in an office environment.  Gain an understanding of cultivating business and investor relationships in a non-profit environment.  Letter of recommendation for future opportunities, if applicable.</p><p>Salary: This internship is unpaid but will work with colleges and universities who offer credit for internships or field placements</p><p>Start/End Date: Flexible</p><p>To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, work samples to: Delaine Moore, Communications Manager, OCBC [email protected] 949.794.7220</p>
