<p> Christ The King CSAC Meeting September 17, 2012.</p><p>Present: Julie Aube, Therese Stewart, Alison Ryan, Maria Cabardo, Carla Ursini, Agata Brusse, Tonya Walker, Jessica Borges, Tina Gillis, Siana Mochocki, Candice Doucette, Rhonda Bell, Marianna Baxter, Mary Dwyer, Sandi Campbell</p><p>Regrets: Susan McGeachie</p><p>1.0 Opening Prayers and Welcome- Rhonda Bell leads in prayer (A Prayer for Our Nurturing Community)and welcomes all. Rhonda asks everyone in attendance to introduce themselves.</p><p>2.0 Approval of Minutes-Minutes were passed by Candice and second by Tonya.</p><p>3.0 Approval of Agenda Items- a few changes were made</p><p>4.0 Chair’s Report- </p><p>4.1 Pro Grant money was approved for just under $ 1000.00 This money will be used for summer flyers, guest speakers throughout the year and for buying resources for our new parent library. Cheque will come to school shortly.</p><p>4.2 School name- Down to 5 names- Our Lady of the Lake, Cardinal Thomas Collins, Christ Our Saviour,?,? </p><p>4.3 There was a Merger e-mail from Josie, Ann and Angelo to Julie about permit times. Permits are delayed 9 to 12 months but still on track for the new build. Principal at St. Teresa their parents need to come together with Julie and our parents at CTK to make a Merger committee. This committee would be separate from Christ the King CSAC. Any parents interested in being apart of the Merger Committee should let Julie know. Issues such as Fundraising to fit our new school. When we merge into the new school we cannot carry money over from CSAC. Maybe we can look into a trust fund (A Friend Of A Friend). </p><p>4.4 Head lice- Kindergarten hats one per child. November letter home will talk about Lice. Public health to come in. </p><p>4.1 Business Arising- Susan to maybe look into getting grant money http://c.studentawards.com/greencommunityprogram/ discuss maybe next meeting with Susan McGeachie. Put Susan to speak about grants next meeting</p><p>4.2 The Year in Review Report- Rhonda reads of a list of things CSAC did in 2011/2012 school year</p><p>4.3 Milk will be taken out of the list. We did not run a milk program last year.</p><p>5.0 Treasurer’s Report Balance is $5,111.33</p><p>5.1 Year End Financial report- Tonya reads out report</p><p>5.2 Bills summer $190.17 and $283.38</p><p>5.3 $600.00 gift card because agendas were late. </p><p>6.o Election of Voting Members and Executive Positions</p><p>6.1 Voting members for 2012-2013 </p><p>6.2 Welcome voting members for 2012-2013: Maria Cabardo, Carla Ursini, Agatha Brusse, Tonya Walker, Jessica Borges, Tina Gillis, Siana Mochocki, Candice Doucette, Rhonda Bell, Marianna Baxter, Mary Dwyer, Sandi Campbell</p><p>6.3 Co-chairs Marianna Baxter and Tina Gillis </p><p>Treasurer for 2012-2013 Tonya Walker</p><p>Secretary for 2012-2013 Siana Mochocki</p><p>7.0 Principal’s Report</p><p>7.1 Julie makes a short report due to time. </p><p>7.2 Julie mentions that the school did well with EQAO results and will speak more in much more detail in the October CSAC meeting as well as school goals school </p><p>7.3 Classes have changed less split grades</p><p>7.4 Julie had lines painted in the school yard for more games and activities for the children.</p><p>7.5 Julie wants to start a grade 8 leadership program. Students are already helping in the office.</p><p>7.6 Julie would like to train grade 7 8 students to be recess. </p><p>7.7 Julie will be having an Olympic athlete came into the school this Friday</p><p>7.8 Father will be coming to the classes to talk to the children.</p><p>7.9 Grade 8 retreat in November</p><p>9.0 Committee Reports</p><p> extra pizza to deal with the smaller slices. First Pizza is Friday October 5th. Gloves will be needed. Pizza should be delivered by 11:00a.m. and a table should be set up in the hallway. 9.2 The Lunch Lady- Tina to speak at next meeting. Lunch Lady Menu went home and ready to start ordering again on Wednesdays.</p><p>9.3 QSP-Fa La La Candice talked about QSP in October. Kick off date is October 4th. We agreed to try out the Fa LA La part of QSP</p><p>9.4 $4,700.00 was made last year with QSP!! Candice and Rhonda to work on November newsletter for Fa La La</p><p>9.4 Parent Times Newsletter- Jessica Borges to handle newsletter this year.</p><p>9.5 Merge Updates- Julie talked about permits earlier.</p><p>9.6 Youth Group Update- Friday nights at 7:30-10:00 in the church basement. See e- mail in the church flyer. If you are interested in helping out as an adult with the Youth Group or have a child ages 12-15 and would like him or her to come out on a Friday night please e-mail Therese Stewart at [email protected]</p><p>Father Redmond CSAC meeting Tues.
