It should be customized to include the name of your city, the provisions in pending legislation you support, as well as any information about specific local needs pertaining to provisions in the tax, bonding, and/or transportation bills.)</p><p>Date</p><p>Dear ______,</p><p>I am contacting you as your constituent and as a city official in the City of ______to request your support for a 2016 special session to complete work left unfinished when the Legislature adjourned sine die in May. </p><p>It is extremely important to the City of ______that the Legislature reconvene to pass the omnibus tax, bonding, and transportation bills. These bills were identified as high priorities for both bodies of the Legislature and the governor, and action on them should not wait until 2017.</p><p>Here are some of the provisions that are in jeopardy if immediate action is not taken in a special session:</p><p>(Insert specific tax or bonding bill provisions you support here.)</p><p>Our common constituents deserve a transportation system that works.
