A shortlist of acts will be required to audition at a later date.  Costumes and props to be provided by performing company as appropriate.  Piano and/or sound system, lighting and microphones will be provided.  Payment to APRA will be borne by the Adelaide Theatre Guide, however payment of performance services will not be included and companies should view this opportunity as promotional.  Changing rooms and preparation areas will be provided.

BENEFITS: This is a great opportunity to promote your next show to a captive audience.

In addition to performing, productions will be promoted within the event program (distributed to approximately 300 guests) as well as the opportunity to exclusively display promotional materials (such as posters, table flyers) at the event.

Note: As this promotional opportunity is the primary benefit to performing companies, those companies not performing are asked not to distribute promotional material at the event.

AUDITION PROCESS: The Audition panel will arrange to visit shortlisted applicants in the weeks of 21 – 27 June and 28 – 4 July at either their rehearsal or appropriate venue at a mutually agreed time.

Please note in your application if there are any time constraints around your audition during these weeks.

Note: We understand that many companies are only at the early stages of rehearsals for productions to be staged later in the year, and that successful auditionees will have more time to prepare for the performance prior to the event. For this reason we encourage companies to audition even if their performance is still in early stages – as long as the audition provides a good representation of what will be presented for the performance itself.

APPLICATIONS: Fill out the attached form and return to the Adelaide Theatre Guide either:

 via email to [email protected]; or  via post to: ATG Performance Auditions 419/27 Colley Terrace Glenelg SA 5045

All applications are due by Friday, 11 June 2010.
