<p> [PROJECT TEACH] 2012-2013</p><p>Video Reflection Assignment</p><p>The ability for a teacher to reflect on what he/she has done in the classroom is a valuable tool to use toward professional growth, and one we want you to develop. </p><p>Assignment: Your assignment is to videotape a thirty (30) minute segment of a classroom lesson, reflect on it by answering questions about the video, share the video with and receive feedback about the video from a veteran teacher, and reflect more. </p><p>Guidelines: You may download the template for the reflection questions from the Project TEACH webpage ( DCSD homepage>Departments>Human Resources>Project TEACH>Video Reflection assignment) or you may use a Word document. If not using the template, the end product you turn in must meet the following guidelines:  It must be typed in 12-pt font, have 1-inch margins, and be double-spaced.  The question must be typed in bold first, and the response should follow in regular font. </p><p>Both the reflection and the video must be labeled with the teacher’s name, grade level and/or subject taught, and school. Please preview video for picture clarity and sound before submitting. The video must be on CD, standard DVD, or jump drive that will run with either Windows Media Player or Quick Time. Please check that your video is viewable before submitting!</p><p>Due Date: January 14, 2013 [PROJECT TEACH] 2012-2013</p><p>Rubric: This assignment is worth 100 points and has three (3) components to it: the video, the teacher’s reflection, and the veteran teacher’s feedback. (1 pt. each) </p><p>Value: 10 of the 100 possible points</p><p>Guidelines: The induction teacher will be turning these questions in as part of an assignment and will be using the guidelines listed below when turning in the end product. You may want to type your response using those same guidelines, but it is not mandatory for you to do so.  It must be typed in 12-pt font, have 1-inch margins, and be double-spaced.  The question must be typed in bold first, and the response should follow in regular font.</p><p>Questions: 1. Did you receive a copy of the lesson plan and assessment used for this video prior to viewing the video? 2. What types of supplemental materials were used? - Were these materials appropriate for this lesson? If not, what material could you recommend? 5. Were all learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) addressed? - If not, what suggestions would you make to address all styles? 6. Was a logical sequence of instruction followed? - If not, what suggestions would you make to help the lesson flow better? 7. Did all of the students have a chance to participate equally? - If not, give an example and make suggestions on how to this might be done better. 8. Were there any classroom management concerns or suggestions? - If so, what were they? 9. Was the teacher working the crowd? - If not, how might s/he do this better? 10.
