<p> Assessment Committee Meeting September 18, 2009</p><p>Present: S. Clutter, S. Gress, R. Malek, J. Reho, C. Stokes, D. Ferrell, T. Danford, V. Riley, C. Sullivan, L. Kefauver Excused: D. Cresap, T. Ramsey, J. Montgomery, D. Bennett</p><p>New Representatives: Christina Sullivan (staff), Teresa Ramsey (replacing Lisa Ingram), and Suzanne Clutter (replacing Debbie Folger) were welcomed to the committee. Lucy Kefauver will be taking notes and posting information to the web page.</p><p>Draft Assessment Cycle: See attached.</p><p>Staff Assessment: This is new to us. Information went out to supervisors this week; they should be speaking with their departments soon as proposals are due by October 15, 2009. Tom is working on a rubric for the peer review of staff assessment reports.</p><p>Old Business: Tom is still catching up. The webpage needs to be re-formatted in order to start posting. Lucy is working with Dave Naegele on this. Darcy asked if adjunct faculty should be involved with the assessment process. They should be involved. Courses and programs should have input from all who are involved. It is easier to have a full-time instructor take the lead and seek input from adjuncts; more difficult when a course is taught by an adjunct only. We will need to watch for those courses. {This is mentioned at adjunct orientation, but is there a handout for future reference?} Darcy mentioned that the start and end date of courses needs to be considered. Vicki asked for a list of non-reporting programs. Tom will forward to her via email.</p><p>New Business: Tom stated that there is not much need to meet in person since most things can be handled electronically. Charleen asked if it might be a good idea to enlist the help of the program advisory committees. Tom agreed that it would. She asked if it would be appropriate for her to contact a friend at West Liberty University to inquire about their process and the group agreed that it would be fine.</p><p>Peer Review Pairs: J. Reho and S. Clutter D. Farrell and C. Stokes S. Gress and T.
