<p>Internet and E-mail Use Policy</p><p><Company Name> must ensure the confidentiality and integrity of its proprietary and customer information and address the issue of employee access and use of information available on the Internet.</p><p><Company Name>’s information systems and electronic media facilities accessed by employees are provided by the firm to improve communications, enhance efficiency and increase the quality of service provided to clients. While occasional personal use of E-mail and Internet browsing is permitted, it is to be limited and in no way negatively impact job performance or the performance and efficiency of <Company Name>’s information systems. </p><p>All computer hardware, software, E-mail and Internet accounts provided to the employee remain the property of <Company Name>. </p><p><Company Name> maintains the right to monitor and restrict the use of these tools to ensure that they are being used for bona fide business purposes and that their use is not in contravention of any <Company Name> policies, regulatory requirements, copyright or local law. Information accessed, distributed or stored via the use of these tools should not be considered private. </p><p>Security</p><p>All file information gathered from the Internet is suspect and should not be relied upon automatically for accuracy, integrity, authenticity or perceived origin of the information. </p><p>To further protect the integrity of <Company Name> information systems, never use confidential Log-on ID’s or Passwords for access to websites or information on the Internet as they may be intercepted and then used to gain unauthorized access to <Company Name> systems. Never access, grant access to others or use any <Company Name> information system or electronic communication tool that is restricted to you without proper authorization.</p><p>Access Limitations</p><p><Company Name> maintains the right to determine whether employees require access to the Internet for business purposes and may refuse to grant or remove access as deemed appropriate. <Company Name> maintains the right, as part of this policy, to utilize available software and tools to monitor and restrict Internet and E-mail activity to protect the firm from complaints or legal action resulting from inappropriate use by employees.
