The training event for successful applicants, followed by 6 months of local campaigning, will be held on 2nd-4th December 2016. Please only apply if you are available on that weekend and following that, to undertake 6 months of campaigning in your locality in the UK. In this round of recruitment we are focusing on the north of England and Scotland.</p><p>The Community Organiser programme exists to help you to learn more skills to change the world for the better, and to get others involved too. Please refer to the role description on our website to help you decide whether to apply. In our selection process, we will be looking for people with:</p><p> Commitment to overcoming global poverty through local action  Enthusiasm and energy  Willingness to learn  Good communication skills  Team players with the ability to work alone  Confidence to take on unfamiliar tasks and make contacts.</p><p>If you are shortlisted we will arrange a short telephone interview to assess your suitability for the programme.
