<p>Bronze Expedition Kit List</p><p>Personal Kit: </p><p> Rucksack (60-65 litres – everything must fit inside) *</p><p> Waterproof liners / bags</p><p> Roll mat *</p><p> Sleeping bag (2-3 season and should squash as small as possible)</p><p> Waterproof coat </p><p> Waterproof trousers *</p><p> Walking boots – broken in and with good ankle support (NOT trainers or trail shoes) *</p><p> Clothes to wear on day 1 - go for layers, including a jumper, and avoid cotton (NO jeans)</p><p> Complete change of clothes</p><p> Spare socks</p><p> Hat and gloves</p><p> Sun hat, sunglasses and sun cream</p><p> Torch + spare batteries</p><p> Notepad + pen/pencil</p><p> Whistle</p><p> First Aid kit (Minimum requirements: assorted plasters, blister plasters, alcohol free antiseptic wipes, 2 crepe bandages, surgical gloves, assorted sterile dressings, safety pins)</p><p> Personal toiletries</p><p> Bowl/plate/cup (metal or plastic)</p><p> Knife/fork/spoon</p><p> Water (minimum 2 litres)</p><p> Emergency rations (small, light but high in energy)</p><p> 3 carrier bags for rubbish</p><p> Personal medication – including pain relief</p><p>Group Kit:</p><p> Tent(s) *</p><p> Trangia(s) *</p><p> Washing up kit (detergent, scouring pad, tea towel) Bronze Expedition Kit List  Matches (bring plenty and must be in a waterproof bag)</p><p> Food (lunch – Sat and Sun, dinner – Sat, breakfast – Sun, snacks – Sat and Sun)</p><p> At least two wristwatches</p><p> Camera (if required for group aim)</p><p>* This item can be borrowed from the DofE store upon payment of a kit deposit (Stock and sizes of boots and waterproofs is limited)</p><p>Do NOT bring cans of drink or food, glass, aerosols, radios, iPods or other electrical devices.</p><p>Mobile phones should be switched off and sealed inside a plastic bag – to be used in emergencies only.</p><p>All kit must fit into your rucksack. Nothing is to be on the outside as this will result in lost/damaged kit. </p><p>Your rucksack should be no more than a quarter of your body weight so group kit needs to be divided fairly and according to individual sizes. </p>
