Creen Cheryl Gonzalez Chris Janke Erin Moore Izumi Tokunaga Jessica Harwood Kathleen Roper Kelly Sprayberry</p><p>We started off at the Chimney Top Gap Access just above Rocky Bottom, SC. We hiked to the summit of Sassafras Mountain and saw the view from the new overlook. It was a beautiful fall day. When we got to the overlook there was a wedding party throwing ashes and they asked some of us to move from below the overlook so we wouldn’t get them on us. It was a strenuous and uphill hike to the summit. Some got at least a 1200ft elevation gain on their GPS. It was a nice downhill walk back to the cars.
