Peterson, New York/Massachusetts Scott Bernard Peterson is the leading authority around the globe on juvenile justice and youth justice programs commonly referred to as youth court, teen court, peer court, student court and the upcoming youth peer panel in Australia. For almost two decades, Scott has championed the local youth justice movement on a local, state, national and international level. Scott has worked in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and served as a senior advisor to both the United Nations and UNICEF on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. </p><p>Scott has served as a speaker and trainer at more than 225 local, state, national and international conferences and events. Mr. Peterson has visited more than 100 local youth court, teen court, peer court, student court and youth peer panels in more than forty (40) states on three continents. Mr. Peterson has spoken at more than a dozen state youth and teen court association conferences to include Colorado, California, Washington, Alaska, Tennessee, South Carolina, Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and others. </p><p>Scott currently serves as CEO of Global Youth Justice, LLC . Global Youth Justice, LLC and Www.GlobalYouthJustice.org were launched in 2009 by Scott at the age of 39. These are just some of the latest of more than one hundred and fifty (150) initiatives Mr. Peterson has spearheaded to advance the Global Youth Justice Movement since 1993, when he established his first local youth court in Albany, New York. In September of 2010, Scott Peterson’s Global Youth Justice, LLC was advised they were the recipients of a new $1 million dollar OJJDP grant for juvenile justice activities from 2010-2012. This is the first federal grant since Scott Peterson launched Global Youth Justice one year ago.</p><p>Associate Professor Nancy Anne Miller, Wisconsin Nancy Anne Miller, Associate Professor, Youth Development Agent with University Wisconsin-Extension in Vilas County, Vilas County Teen Court Coordinator. Nancy is also the founding President of the Wisconsin Teen Court Association, Inc. (WTCA). Gathering around and working with communities interested in starting Teen Courts and State Associations throughout the state of Wisconsin and Nationally as well is one of Nancy’s favorite things to do. To help others create the teen court/youth court program that will meet the specific needs of the youth and the community is a worthwhile endeavor and never a burden to her busy UW-Extension schedule. </p><p>Lieutenant Gary Kepley, Illinois Lieutenant Gary Kepley has been with Mattoon Police Department for 14 years, involved with law enforcement for more than twenty-three (23) years, and he is a captain with the Wabash Fire Department for 24 years. Gary has been associated with Youth Courts for more than twelve (12) years and he has served as a consultant for the U.S. Department of Justice on a wide range of youth court national trainings and projects. Gary has been married for 22 years to his wife Jan and they have two sons Christopher 21 and Kirk 19. Gary is involved in many community activities, city cookouts and golf outings, church and missions activities, Cops for Kids, County 911 Board, is a Community Unit #2 School Board member, and is a longtime youth court supporter on a local, state and national level.</p>
