<p> On joint motion of all Councilmembers present, the following resolution was offered: RESOLUTION NO. 114585 A resolution selecting an individual(s) and/or firms interested in providing school bus service to the Department of Parks and Recreation to supplement the existing list as established under Resolution No. 114386 dated April 14, 2010. (Parishwide) WHEREAS, Resolution No. 105446 dated May 17, 2006 selected the following names to provide school bus service to the Department of Parks and Recreation: Don Breaux Dionne Hampton Reynaldo E. Favorite Patricia S. Hebert Karl Fisher Frank Morales Trinese Forges Michelle Raby Michael L. Franklin Celeste Thibodeaux Kathleen Galley Willie Valentine Felicia Griffin Henry Washington and, WHEREAS, Resolution No. 108099 dated June 6, 2007 added the following names to the list for school bus service: Tracy Caldwell Mary Lou Stillwell Felicia Diggs Lynette Valenti Phyllis Falcon Wayne’s Bus Service Linda’s Bus Service Millissa L. Williams Louvenia Penwright WHEREAS, First Student, Inc., 1037 Peters Road, Harvey 70058, Jeff L. WeteKamm, 5024 Academy Drive, Metairie 70003, and Wheelchair Accessible Vans, 2828 Roanoke, Tyler, TX 75701 have submitted their Statement of Qualifications to the Parish Council Clerk’s Office no later than 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2010 and need to be added to the current list of those eligible to provide bus service; and WHEREAS, due to the demand for bus service during the summer has increased due to the large number of camps offered throughout Jefferson Parish; and WHEREAS, there is a need of buses that are handicapped accessible for certain Parks and Recreation programs throughout the year; and WHEREAS, during the past few years, Parks and Recreation has had a problem obtaining bus service for the handicapped programs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson Parish Council of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, acting as governing authority of said parish: SECTION 1. That First Student, Inc., 1037 Peters Road, Harvey 70058, Jeff L. WeteKamm, 5024 Academy Drive, Metairie 70003, and Wheelchair Accessible Vans, 2828 Roanoke, Tyler, TX 75701, are hereby selected to supplement the existing list to provide school bus service on an availability basis to the Department of Parks and Recreation for various programs. The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows: YEAS: 6 NAYS: None ABSENT: (1) Roberts The resolution was declared to be adopted on this the 26th day of May, 2010.</p>
