<p>C</p><p>MANNING RIVER DRAGON BOAT CHALLENGE 28TH & 29TH January 2017 Entry Form</p><p>Venue Details: Elizabeth Park, Taree 2430</p><p>Distance: Saturday: 2KM Turn race Sunday: 200mm sprint race</p><p>Entry fees: $20.00 (adults) and $10.00 (juniors) per person Note 1: all paddlers including drummer and steerer required to pay entry fee Note 2: all fees inclusive of gst</p><p>Category Definitions: 20’s crews – minimum of 16 padlers to a maximum of 20 paddlers + 4 reserves plus drummer and steerer. 10’s crews – minimum of 8 paddlers to a maximum of 10 paddlers + 2 reserves plus drummer and steerer.</p><p>Sports Mixed Crews Minimum of 2 male paddlers to maximum of 10 paddlers (excludes drummer and steerer). Drummer and steerer can be either gender.</p><p>Sports Women Crews All female paddlers (including drummer and steerer)</p><p>Sports Men (10s) Must have all male paddlers (drummer and steerer can be either gender) Sports Juniors/Youth (10s) All paddlers and drummer must be aged 12-23yrs. (steerer can be over 18 yrs </p><p>Note: Clubs with 2 crews in the same category, can intercharge a maximum of 4 paddlers (including drummer and steerer) between the 2 crews. H however they have to be the same 4 people. Steerers: All teams must use a DBNSW accredited steerer. Steerers must have their names recorded by the Chief Marshall. Level 2 steerers must wear the orange safety vests. Clubs must provide their own steerers. (If for some reason a club can’t provide their own steerer, they may borrow a Level 2 steerer from another club). Membership cards: It is compulsory for all team members to wear their current DBNSW membership cards. (2016/2017 season). If you do not have it, you will not be allowed to paddle. The name of the Regatta Safety Officer will be advised at the Team Captains' briefing at the commencement of racing. Adherence to safety-related instructions from either the Regatta Safety Officer or the Chief Race Official is mandatory</p><p>(2) Nothing in (1) above:</p><p> a. removes the responsibility for Clubs to do all in their power to ensure the safety of participants, officials, spectators and others present at the venue - safety is everyone's responsibility; and </p><p> b. affects the right of Clubs and Steerers to adopt a more risk averse approach to specific situations, nor does it affect the responsibilities of the sweep for the safety of his or her crew.</p><p>Qualifying for Finals Points are allocated on placings in heat results and added together to form finals qualifications. If more than 4 teams qualify, the times of teams on equal points will be added to identify the 4 fastest qualifying teams. </p><p>Steerers: Only DBNSW accredited steerers. ‘Level 2’ steerers must wear orange vests. All steerers must have their names recorded with the marshall for every race</p><p>Clean-up: All teams are requested to clean up their area at the end of the day.</p><p>Security: Teams are responsible for the security of their valuables. BE WARY.</p><p>First Aid: SES will be providing the First Aid and Water Rescue service</p><p>Weather Conditions: Racing will be cancelled in case of bad weather.
