Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) intends to undertake the National Population and Housing Census in August/September 2014. 2. Uganda Bureau of Statistics has, therefore, allocated/received funds to be used for the acquisition of a Heavy Duty 65 Seater Passenger Bus for the Census 2014. 3. The Entity now invites sealed bids from Eligible Bidders for the provision of the Heavy Duty 65 Seater Passenger Bus for the Census 2014. 4. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic Bidding (ODB) method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and is open to all bidders. 5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 8(a) from 8:00am-4:30 pm on working days. 6. The Bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 10(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000. 7. The method of payment will be through a Bank Payment Advice (BPA) Form obtainable from the Procurement and Disposal Unit (PDU) of UBOS. 8. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 10(c) at or before 11:00am on 14th April 2014. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Uganda Shillings Eight Million Seven Hundred Thirty Two Thousands Only (UGX8,732,000). Bid securities must be valid until 16th November 2014. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 10(d) at 11:10am, on 14th April 2014. 9. There shall be a Pre–bid Meeting/ site visit on 24th March, 2014 at Statistics House 1st Floor Room 1.1 at 11:00am as indicated in the proposed schedule in this notice. 10.
