<p> Hartlepool & District Motor Club</p><p>THE HARTLEPOOL CHAMPIONSHIP AUTOTEST</p><p>Welcome to this year’s event, which will be run in our normal dual test format at our NEW VENUE, The Funfair Coach Park, Seaton Carew. Many thanks to Hartlepool Borough Council and The Local Councillors for use of the coach park.</p><p>The person who collects the trophy for FIRST OVERALL will also receive an award value of £100, which includes a £50 cheque.</p><p>We offer an enjoyable and competitive day of autotesting with free team entries, many awards and bottles of wine.</p><p>If anyone has spare photographs of themselves (or anyone else) in action (in an autotest!!!) you could send them with your entry and we’ll include them with the press releases.</p><p>If anyone would like to place an advert in our free programme or needs information on hotel deals please give us a ring on 01429 223949 (w) or 01429 275615(h).</p><p>Chris Langan & Bob Clouston Chief Organisers</p><p>Supplementary Regulations</p><p>1 The Hartlepool & District Motor Club will promote a National B Autotest on the 27th June 2010 at the Funfair coach park, Seaton Carew (MR 93/527293), Hartlepool TS25 1DE (Post Code is for the Golf Clubhouse, the nearest building).</p><p>2 The meeting will be held under the General Regulations of The Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these Supplementary Regulations, and any written instructions that the organising club may issue for the event.</p><p>3 MSA permit No. 56934 has been issued.</p><p>4 The National B event is open to all registered competitors in the following championships:- Link Up MSA British Autotest Championship 2010/A/0700 Demon Tweeks Direct BTRDA Autotest Championship BTRDA Allrounders Championship 8/2010 ANCC Autotest Championship 71/2010 Members of affiliated ANCC and ANECCC Clubs.</p><p>5 All competitors must produce a valid club membership card, competition licence and championship registration card as appropriate for the event. 6 The programme of the meeting will be 9:00 Scrutineering starts 10:10 Final signing on time (anyone not signed on, on time will be excluded) 10:30 First test starts. The pair of tests in progress at 15:30 will be the final tests</p><p>7 The event comprises of 5 classes as follows: a) Saloon cars under 11’ overall length b) Saloon cars over 11’ overall length c) Sports cars and sports kit cars d) Specials e) Road going saloon cars</p><p>Class E must be capable of being driven on the road, must be taxed with a valid MoT (if applicable), documents to be produced at signing on. Saloons will include estate cars, hatchbacks and commercial types as appropriate as well as saloon type kit cars.</p><p>Note:- Cabriolet saloons must run in the appropriate saloon car class with the hood up, or in appropriate sports car class with the hood down. Sports kit cars eligible for classes C will be per the approved BTRDA Championship list. Vehicle length will include bumpers whether fitted or not and be determined from Parker’s Car Price Guide, if not quoted, manufacturers specification.</p><p>8 All vehicles must comply with RAC, MSA technical regulations. Note: J5.17.2 Cars must be fitted with silencers. (VERY IMPORTANT) M17.1 Not applicable as the event takes place on private land.</p><p>9 Awards for each event will be presented as follows:-</p><p>First Overall:- Dickens Trophy, Champagne, £50+Repl. First in Class an award + wine Second in Class an award (subject to 6 entries) Third in Class an award (subject to 9 entries) First Lady an award (subject to 3 entries) Awards are perpetual. Our usual range of fastest or slowest on random tests:- bottle of wine</p><p>10 The entry list opens on the publication of these regulations and closed finally on the 22nd June 2010. The entry fee is £23:00. All entries must be submitted on an official entry form plus the entry fee.</p><p>11 The Entries Secretary to which all entries must be sent is:- A. J Watson., Rosedale, West Row, Greatham, TS25 2HW.</p><p>12 Minimum entry for the event is 15 and the maximum 50. Class minimums are 3 and the maximums are 20. Should any of the above figures not be met the organisers have the right to amalgamate classes. Entries will be selected in order of receipt. Entry fees may be refunded up until two days before the event subject to notification in writing to the secretary of the meeting. 13 Secretary of the Meeting – R. Clouston</p><p>14 Provisional results will be published as soon as possible after each test and at the end of the event. Any protests must be lodged in accordance with C5.1/.2.</p><p>15 Details of the tests will be with the final instructions. Each driver will have a number of runs at each test to count for results. Timing will be by hand stopwatches. The starting signal will be on time keepers instructions. Practicing will not be allowed.</p><p>16 Competitors will be identified by competition numbers provided by the organisers. “Sponsors advertising must be prominently displayed”.</p><p>17 All other general regulations of the MSA apply as written, except: M13.4 -A Vehicle may be entered twice by different drivers sharing responsibility. M4.2 -Pylons may be less than 1 metre high. M17.1 -Vehicles need not be taxed or registered as the event takes place wholly on private property. M7C -Maximum penalty is fastest time in class + 20 seconds M7C -Fastest time in class + 20 seconds for a WD. M7 D/E -Penalties are 5 seconds per fault for bollards, lines, kerbs walls and crossing the boundary of test.</p><p>7.7 Diagram, is replaced by: In any diagram illustrating a test, dimensions will be approximate and for guidance only. Indications of the direction of travel of the competing car when crossing a line or passing between markers will be mandatory but not exclusive (ignoring “shunts” to avoid markers). 7.8 Wrong Test, is replaced by: A maximum be imposed when the mandatory sequence of manoeuvres have not been correctly completed. A test will not be incorrect if the driver realises his/her mistake, goes back to the point at which the mistake occurred and then completes the test correctly as required by the diagram.</p><p>18 Refreshments, “SHOPS / TAKE AWAY’S” And toilets are available on the sea front. PLEASE SUPPORT THEM.</p><p>19 All marshals are judges of fact. Any competitor queries MUST be addressed to the Clerk of the Course or scoreboard official.</p><p>20 IMPORTANT- Competitors and family/friends ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE TEST AREA ONCE THE TEST IS LIVE. Exempt are competitors in the queue to start the test seated in his/her vehicle and the competitor completing the test.
