<p>To: ISSHA</p><p>Subject: 4th Iberian Congress of Cyanotoxins</p><p>Dear Sir/Madam,</p><p>The 4th Iberian Congress of Cianotoxinas (CIC) will take place from 8 to 10 July 2015, at the Pavilion of Knowledge, Park of the Nations, Lisbon. Since its first edition in 2009 (Oporto) followed by two editions in the neighboring country (Seville 2011 and Blanes 2013), CIC returns to Portugal to reaffirm itself as an undeniable reference in the consolidation of an Iberian community of researchers, technicians, institutions and companies that collaborate in solving problems associated with the increasing eutrophication of water resources in the two countries. The Congress aims to discuss scientific and technical aspects related to the occurrence of toxic cyanobacteria in surface freshwater reservoirs, in particular, drinking water quality monitoring as well as for recreational activities, methodologies of detection and remediation of the occurrence of cyanobacteria and toxins associated, the assessment and management of environmental risks and human health. In a space that stimulates curiosity and encourages interaction, the 4th CIC will take place in three distinct areas of the Pavilion of Knowledge: the Main auditorium, the Central atrium and the Live Science Lab space. The Central atrium will provide ample space suitable for the placement of exhibitors, which can be visited during the poster sessions and coffee breaks, and the Live Science Lab will allow the realization of workshops and product demonstration sessions, in laboratory environment.
