Clean Air Act was created by the US Environmental Protection Agency to authorize the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) to assist in the creations of law to protect the environment. This act was also established to handle problems such as acid rain, ground-level ozone, and air toxics.</p><p>2. Clean Water Act creates guidelines that help to improve and maintain the biological, physical, and chemical quality of waterways. This act also protects fish, shellfish, and wildlife in waterways.</p><p>3. Department of Energy creates policies regarding energy and the safe handle of nuclear material. This agency promotes supply and delivery of reliable, affordable, and environmentally sound energy.</p><p>4. Energy Independence and Security Act created to move nation towards energy independence and security by increasing clean renewable fuel production, increasing research on greenhouse gas, and improve the government’s energy performance. </p><p>5. Energy Policy Act provides policies for how different sources of energy are developed and used including oil and gas; tribal energy; nuclear matters; vehicles and motor fuels; hydrogen; hydropower and geothermal energy; and renewable energy. </p><p>6. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is the federal organization that ensures that all Americans are protected against specific hazards to the environment and human health where they learn, work and live. This agency manages all federal antipollution programs. It also handles air, solid waste, toxic substances, and pesticides.</p><p>7. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission controls the price of natural gas and electricity for business transactions that occur between states (interstate). This agency manages transportation of electricity and natural gas. It also ensures that regulated energy companies are following guidelines set by the law.</p><p>8. National Environmental Policy Act established a national policy and goals for the protection, maintenance, and enrichment of the environment. This act explains consequences for environmental violation. It also prevents or eliminates damage to the environment.</p><p>9. Nuclear Regulatory Commission generates safety policies and regulations for nuclear reactors and materials.
