Effective immediately. Tables 10.1 and New tables specify sample selection requirements. Effective immediately. 20.1 Table 10.2 Deletion of Sequence D for extreme ambient conditions; deletion of 135% calibration and trip out tests in Sequence C to mirror tests required in UL 489. Effective immediately. 10.3, 20.4 Time Constant Revise time constant to read “not less than 1.0 msec.” Effective immediately. 10.4 Clarify testing for devices marked “line/load” Effective immediately. 10.5 Added exceptions for reverse wired tests when not marked line load Effective immediately. 10.11, 10.12, Multipole devices 18.4 Mutlipole devices will need a new marking for either grounded or ungrounded systems. Those for use in grounded systems may require additional testing depending on how they are intended to be wired in the field. Effective October 17, 2015. File review required. 10.13, 12.2, 12.3 Temperature Test Revised temp test to allow for concurrently conducting the 100% calibration test. Doing so allows for use of larger wire of 8.1, and cancelation of 10ºC correction of 12.2. Effective immediately. 14.1 Limited Fault Interrupting Test Revised test to be conducted at 200% rated current. Effective immediately. 14.2 Limited Fault Interrupting Test Revised test to allow for manual operation. Effective immediately. Section 17 Extreme Ambient Cycling Test This test has been deleted. Effective immediately. Exception No. 1 Clarification to 17.4 Addition of “dc” for the allowable values. Effective immediately. Table 17.1 Clarification Addition of “dc” to the title for the allowable values. Effective immediately. 18.5, 18.10 Clarification Addition of “line/load” and “+/-” as appropriate. Effective immediately. Section 21, 22 Contact Opening Test Revised title to “Abnormal Current Opening Test”, changed test current to 200%, thereby requiring the deletion of the exception in the short circuit test, 22.1.
