Section 50-21-133 of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 124 of 1999, is amended to read:</p><p>“Section 50-21-133. (A) There is established a no wake zone to begin at Nautical Day Marker Number 125 at Cove Inlet running to a line perpendicular to the westernmost tip of Sullivan’s Island where the Intracoastal Waterway joins the Charleston Harbor. These boundaries must be clearly marked by signs. The signs must be designed and installed as specified by the department. (B) There is established a no wake zone to begin one hundred fifty feet on either side of an existing boathouse or pier as of the effective date of this section at Cherokee Plantation on the Combahee River in Colleton County. These boundaries must be clearly marked by signs. The signs must be designed and installed as specified by the department. (C) A person violating the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, must be punished as provided in Section 50-21-150.”</p><p>Time effective</p><p>SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.</p><p>Ratified the 22nd day of June, 2000.</p><p>Approved the 16th day of July, 2000. </p><p>______2</p>
