<p>THEME: Black SUBTHEME: Pirates</p><p>Prefer to do outside if sunny so ships can go a long way between checkpoints, otherwise in the hall.</p><p>5:50: COMING IN ACTIVITY: Colouring in two big Jolly Roger flag. (Need lots of black crayon/pencil)</p><p>6:00: OPENING CEREMONY: [Leonie]</p><p>6:05: GAME: Sailing on the Black Betty and the Black Bart. Two pirate ships made up of two poles (one on each end, and a black plastic sheet that wraps around). The two Jolly Roger flags are sticky taped to poles which one of the Joeys can hold. The Joeys form two pirate crews and get inside the "ships" and move to the first checkpoint island, (a leader standing somewhere), where they get out and dig to find a treasure map. [need two buckets of sand (with the maps rolled up in a can hidden in the sand bucket). EQUIPMENT: Long rolls of black plastic (20 m?), 4 wooden poles. Two big buckets of sand. Two small cans with lids. Alex to make up 2 pirate maps).</p><p>6:10: GAME: The ships sail to the first point in the map, where they have to walk the plank. Joeys have to answer the Joey Promise, Law or Motto. If they pass, they can walk back. If not, they have to jump into the shark infested water (leaders are the sharks). EQUIPMENT: benches.</p><p>6:15: GAME: The ships then sail to the next check point on the map. It's Battle Island. The ships battle each other by sailing past each other and throwing cannon balls (rolled up newspaper) at each other. EQUIPMENT: lots of rolled up newspaper.</p><p>6:30 GAME: The ships suffer heavy battle damage. They need to get to safe harbour at Provision Island. But it's at night time and foggy. The ships need to get out to open sea through the rocks. All joeys are blindfolded in the ship. Leaders pretend to be rocks in the water. when ships get close, the rocks say loudly "swoosh, swoosh". </p><p>6:40: CRAFT: The ships safely makes it to Provision Island. Where they stock up and make eye patches, because they lost an eye in the battle. Eye patches need to cut out a black eye patch, decorate with skull and crossbones, and they thread string/elastic through. EQUIPMENT: black cardboard, white colour pencil/textas, string/elastic, scissors.</p><p>6:50 GAME: Swashbuckling: The ships land on Treasure Island, and the pirate joeys have to battle the Imperial Soldiers (the leaders), using long pool noodles. Leaders are armed with jedi lightsabers. Just kidding. EQUIPMENT: long pool noodles. </p><p>6:55 FOOD: After defeating the Imperial Soldiers, Joeys find the treasure using the treasure map. Inside the treasure chest, are golden Easter Eggs. Joeys eat the eggs. EQUIPMENT: Treasure chest. 20+ chocolate Easter eggs.</p><p>6:57 CLOSING CEREMONY: [Leonie]</p>
