<p> C/O Anderton Centre LOAI Ltd, New Road, Anderton, Chorley PR6 9HG Telephone 01257 484 220 E-mail: [email protected]</p><p>Royal Yachting Association (RYA) National Powerboat Certificate level 2 (inland)</p><p>Venue: The Anderton Centre PR6 9HG www.andertoncentre.co.uk Course Dates 2017 : 11-12 Feb, 18-19 March, 8-9 April, 20-21 May, 17-18 June, 8-9 July,21 – 22 Oct , 11 – 12Nov</p><p>Cost: £190.00 per person – includes logbook, start powerboating book and certification</p><p>Minimum age: 12</p><p>Minimum standard: none</p><p>Time: 9.00am - 5.00pm approx</p><p>This is the most popular powerboat qualification and the course is a practical introduction to boat handling skills and provides the background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver. </p><p>By the end of the two-day course you should be capable of handling small powerboats safely and in a seamanlike way. The course is 100% training with any assessment built in, which gives plenty of time for practising manoeuvres and correcting faults. You will learn how to launch and recover from a road trailer, high and low speed manoeuvres and seamanship skills such as man-overboard recovery and anchoring</p><p>The level 2 powerboat certificates is also the pre requisite for the RYA Safety Boat Course required when acting as a escort or coach boat for fleet dinghies, windsurfers or canoes and for racing training activities. The certificate can also be used as proof of competence when applying for the inland International Certificate of Competence. (ICC).</p><p>Certification: The RYA National Powerboat (Level 2) certificate requires a passport photograph. Please remember to bring a photograph with you, otherwise we will not be able to issue your certificate</p><p>Kit and clothing LOAI supplies a range of technical equipment including waterproofs and buoyancy aids. However you are welcome to use your own.</p><p>Please bring with you:</p><p> trainers that may get wet or wellies</p><p> warm clothes, hats and gloves (it can get cold when out on the water)</p><p> sunscreen and sunglasses</p><p> passport photo for certificate</p><p> packed lunch</p><p>This is a non residential course.
