<p> 7-12 Holiday Orchestra Concert</p><p>Date: 12/8/16 To: Parents and Students of Mrs. Karriker From: Mrs. Karriker RE: 7-12 Holiday Orchestra Concert</p><p>Dear Parents and Students,</p><p>Hello to all! I am very excited because the orchestra students have made tremendous progress since the beginning of the school year. They are so excited to perform for you and friends! Please help them prepare by reviewing these guidelines together for proper concert procedures and etiquette. This concert is MANDATORY for the students in the following groups. Students will receive 500 points towards their final grade for attending this concert. </p><p>7th Grade Orchestra</p><p>8th Grade Orchestra</p><p>High School Orchestra</p><p>Date of the concert: Thursday, December 8, 2016</p><p>Who: Students of Mrs. Karriker</p><p>Place: P.A.C Auditorium (7-12 Campus)</p><p>Time: Concert begins at 7:00 pm.</p><p>* Students should arrive early enough before the concert begins for tuning and warm-up. Please refer to the following schedule for arrival times and procedures. </p><p>7 th Grade Orchestra: </p><p>1. 6:15pm – Arrive (Get music, instrument, and instrument accessories from the strings room and proceed to Room S109 – Mr. Schach’s room.) Warm-Up in Room S109 until 6:45pm.</p><p>2. 6:45pm – Mrs. Karriker will come in and tune everyone.</p><p>3. 6:55pm – Proceed to stage.</p><p>8 th Grade Orchestra: </p><p>1. 6:00pm – Arrive (Get instruments out and begin tuning and warm-up with Mrs. Karriker.) 2. 6:20pm – Warm-Up ends. 8th Graders will continue to practice in the strings room until they are brought to the auditorium at 6:50pm.</p><p>High School Orchestra: </p><p>1. 5:45pm – Arrive and get instruments, music, etc. from the Strings Room and bring it into the band room. Get dressed into concert dresses and tuxes.</p><p>2. 6:15pm – Get instruments out, sit in seats, get tuned.</p><p>3. 6:20pm – High School warm-up begins.</p><p>4. 6:45pm – High School warm-up ends.</p><p>5. 6:50pm – High School proceeds to the auditorium with instruments, etc.</p><p>7:00 Concert Begins</p><p>Concert Attire: </p><p>7 th and 8 th Grade Orchestra Students: </p><p>BOYS: Chagrin Falls Music Polo shirt, black pants, black belt, black socks, black dress shoes. No Sneakers please! </p><p>GIRLS: Chagrin Falls Music Polo shirt, black pants, black belt, black socks or stockings, black dress shoes. No sneakers and no black leggings please!</p><p>**Polo Shirts are on order. They will arrive after Thanksgiving. The students will then be able to take them home from school. **</p><p>High School Orchestra: </p><p>BOYS: Tuxedo, plain white shirt under tux shirt, black socks, black dress shoes. No black sneakers please!</p><p>GIRLS: Concert Dresses, black socks or stockings, black dress shoes. No black sneakers please!</p><p>Jewelry/Makeup/Hair Accessories: Long earrings, extravagant hair accessories, fingernail polish, and extravagant makeup are not appropriate in a formal concert setting.</p><p>Thank you so much for all of your continued support.
