They are usually facing the altar. </p><p>Silver Stain Silver stain is used to create a yellow colour on clear glass. The technique of silver stain involves painting silver compounds (such as silver nitrate, chloride, sulphate or oxide) onto a piece of glass and then firing (heating) it in the kiln. </p><p>Tracery Openwork pattern of stonework or wood at the top of a window. </p><p>Trefoil Windows with three petal shaped sections. </p><p>Vidimus The approved design of a window, before the cartoon is made. </p>
