<p> 2015-2016 Walpole High School Robotics Team 1153 RoboRebels</p><p>Walpole High School’s Robotics team 1153 -- The RoboRebels -– is entering its 14th FIRST Robotics Competition season and we need your help! “JOIN THE REVOLUTION” and support a great opportunity for high school students to explore the worlds of engineering, math, science, art, technology, cooperation and competition!</p><p>Each year FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) offers new challenges allowing teams to compete regionally, nationally, and internationally while following FIRST’s mantra of Gracious Professionalism. The high school students work with teachers, mentors, engineers and others to build a robot that will be both robust and competitive for that year’s game.</p><p>The RoboRebels have collected numerous awards including the Excellence in Engineering, Entrepreneurship, and Gracious Professionalism Awards. We have been Finalists in multiple events. In 2014 we were finalists on our field at the World Championship Event in St. Louis! Throughout the year, team members share both their enthusiasm and their robots at community fairs, elementary and middle school Math and Science Nights, and more.
