<p>Company Information MedeAnalytics, Inc. 5858 Horton St, Suite 475 Emeryville, CA 94608 http://www.medeanalytics.com</p><p>Contact: BJ Choi, AVP [email protected]</p><p>Job Title Senior DW/BI Architect</p><p>Job Description You will be joining a high-performance technical team responsible for the design & implementation of the next-generation multi-tenant SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) BI (Business Intelligence) architecture using best-of-breed DW/BI technologies including a high-end MPP storage technology.</p><p>Your primary responsibility will be the entire data architecture including data integration, database schema, dimensional data modeling to support business requirements, query performance tuning and optimization, and data reporting/visualization.</p><p>Your ability to design the architecture as an architect as well as implement production quality artifacts as an engineer is a critical requirement.</p><p>Duties & Responsibilities  Lead in the design of the entire technology stack of the next-generation multi-tenant SaaS BI architecture including vendor technology selection, design patterns, data modeling, ETL flow design, performance tuning & optimization, data reporting/visualization, project planning, etc.</p><p> Solely responsible for the overall data architecture and data modeling</p><p> Document designs & implementations to effectively train & support junior technical team through full rollout of the architecture</p><p>Qualifications  BS in computer science or related disciplines</p><p> Strong verbal communication skills (because the job will require working closely with non-native English speakers) is a MUST</p><p> Hands-on strong experience leading large volume data warehouse/business intelligence projects is a MUST</p><p> Strong experience with standard data warehousing concepts & techniques is a MUST  7+ years of experience specifically in DW (Data Warehousing) or BI (Business Intellignece) is a MUST</p><p> o expert experience designing entire data warehousing/business intelligence architecture end-to-end including data integration architecture, database schema designs, dimensional data modeling, query performance turning & optimization, data reporting/visualization is required</p><p> o strong experience using standard ETL technologies (such as Pentaho Kettle, Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, etc) is required</p><p> o experience developing OLAP technologies and/or dimensional/semantic models (such as Microsoft SSAS, Hyperion, BO, MicroStrategy, etc.) is required</p><p> o experience in data visualization/reporting technologies (such as Microsoft SSRS, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.) is required</p><p> o experience using high-end MPP/SN storage technologies (such as Vertica, ParAccel, Greenplum, Netezza, Teradata, etc) is a huge plus</p><p> o experience in distributed parallel processing systems such as Hadoop is a plus</p><p> experience developing ETL to process EDI in general, and EDI 837/835/834/270/271 in particular, is a huge plus</p><p> experience developing in healthcare IT, either working for provider or payers, is a huge plus</p><p> 10+ year of experience in database administration, design, and development is required</p><p> o 1+ years directly developing in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or higher is a MUST</p><p> o strong experience designing, developing, and tuning in RDBMS (such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc) is required</p><p> o strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and queries (SQL) is required</p>
