<p> Office 2007 help sheet 1 Intro to Office Button, Ribbon and Save features. Remember you can do everything you did in Office 98-2003 in addition to some new cool tools.</p><p>What’s New. This is the called the “Office Button” (it is similar to the file tab in 2003).</p><p>With the Office Button you can: You can also open Create a new Doc. Recent Documents. Open Convert Save Save As Print Prepare Publish Close</p><p>Remember you can still do the same things just in a different way:</p><p>Instead of pull-down menus (file, edit, format….), 2007 uses a “Ribbon”. The Ribbon is a row of Tabs. The Ribbon Tabs are:</p><p>Home Insert Page Layout References Mailings Review View This is the Tab on the Ribbon. If you choose Home it opens these choices: </p><p>Clip Board Font Paragraph Styles Editing </p><p>This is the Page Layout Tab on the Ribbon. If you choose Page Layout it opens these choices: </p><p>Theme Page Setup Page Background Paragraph Arrange</p><p>Part 2 How to save: Mouse or Quick Keys (Quick Keys Rock!) 1- How to Save Using your Mouse Click on the Windows button and choose Save Save As: Click on the Windows button and choose Save As , (release mouse button) </p><p>This Window Opens</p><p>Here you choose where to save the doc Here you can name your doc.</p><p>Here you choose what the type or format it will be saved as.</p><p>When you click this arrow you get this pull down menu of types/formats.</p><p>Pull Down Menu Cont. on next page Choose: Word Document= To save as a Word 2007 document Word 97-2003= use this if you have 97-2003 at home and want to open your doc at home.</p><p>Pull down Menu</p><p>Easiest/fastest way save is to use Quick Keys If you want to Save: Push and hold Ctrl key (bottom left key on Keyboard) then hit S key. If you want to Save As: (save doc in another format ie.Word 2003, so you could use it on a home comp) Push and hold Alt key (2-3 keys right of Ctrl key) Then hit F key and then A key. More Quick keys I use all the time. Copy- Ctrl key + C key Paste- Ctrl key + V key Cut- Ctrl key + X key Undo- Ctrl key + Z key Print- Ctrl key + Z key Bold- Ctrl key + B key Underline- Ctrl key + Z key Italic- Ctrl key + I key Redo- Ctrl key + Y key Close window- Ctrl key + W key</p>
