Date to be confirmed.

The bottle of Bloom Gin and the box of Lego, which were unused last year, are to be used as fundraising ideas. Karine is to make up a clear container of Lego for ‘Guess the amount of Lego in the jar’. This will be issued round the school for 20p a go week commencing 19th September. Laura will provide a float and Group call to issue parent information. The Bloom Gin will be used as a prize at the Bingo Tea with £1 a go on a square grid.

Disco Dates  27th October  8th December reminder to be issued via Group call  30th March  22nd June

It was mentioned that at the previous Summer Disco ticket sales were down and more children paid on the night. Suggestion was made that a letter be issued now with all date for forthcoming events as well as the Group call reminder.

Parent Council Noticeboard

It was suggested that a noticeboard area within the reception of the school could be made available to the Parent Council to post information, names of members and the minutes. This would hopefully make the committee more approachable to parents as information on what we do would also be included. Mrs Tough agreed to see what space is available.

AOB

Leanne enquired as to whether information regarding SPTC insurance and the renewal of the Angus Lottery grant had been received by the school. Mrs Tough to look into this.

As a Christmas fundraiser it was suggested by Katrina Balfour that a Studio Book could be an option. It was however decided that this would be too much collative work at this time. Alison Reid then suggested a Partylite evening open to the Parent Council and friends/family as a mini fundraiser. Mrs Tough would make this open to staff as well. The possibility of having it at the school or in an alternative venue (such as the Guide hall) was discussed and Alison Reid to look into this. The Partylite representative is available on 4 th November.

A Christmas Parent Council night was discussed but it was decided for it to be held in January 2017. Possible date Friday 13th @7.30pm, at Leanne’s house.

Date of next meeting 24 th October 2016 @ 6.30pm
