Purpose</p><p>The purpose of the Nanaimo Premier Pirates Baseball Club (hereinafter “The Club”)is to provide the best possible coaching, development and competition for 15-18 year old players in order to assist them in pursuing baseball opportunities at higher levels.</p><p>B. Values</p><p>The Club is committed to:</p><p>1. Excellence in developing baseball and educational opportunities, leadership skills, integrity and commitment to team and community</p><p>2. Promoting the health and well being of all players</p><p>3. Respect for self, team, competitors, parents and community</p><p>4. Building cooperative relationships with other organizations</p><p>5. Acknowledging and promoting appreciation of sponsors and community</p><p>C. Goals</p><p>The goals of the Club include:</p><p>1. Fostering, improving and encouraging amateur baseball, sportsmanship and good citizenship in Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Chemainus, Duncan and surrounding areas within its catchment area as defined by the BC Premier Baseball League;</p><p>2. Developing an effective and winning baseball program, allowing players in its Junior and Senior teams to maximize their potential as baseball players;</p><p>3. Providing an excellent opportunity for players to develop their baseball skills, with a particular emphasis on maximizing opportunities for post-secondary scholarships and potential professional baseball careers in a responsible manner;</p><p>4. Assisting the development of younger baseball players by working closely with the minor baseball associations of the communities in this region and their member teams;</p><p>5.
