These TPE compounds are based on five different TPE chemistries and </p><p> include bondable grades, medical grades, and specialty TPEs for rubber replacement. In </p><p> addition, grades utilizing RTP Company’s proprietary wear resistant, conductive, flame </p><p> retardant, and precolor technologies will be produced at RTP Company’s China facility.</p><p>“The new TPE capability will support our rapidly-growing consumer, industrial, and </p><p> electrical customer base in Asia, offering shorter lead times and specialty TPE compounds that </p><p> were previously not locally available,” said Scott Mumm, TPE General Manager at RTP </p><p>Company.</p><p>This increased TPE capacity coincides with recent expansion at RTP Company’s </p><p>Winona, Minn., headquarters. In October of 2006, RTP Company announced that its advanced </p><p>TPE technology had emerged as a new division. In order to support its newly-formed division, </p><p>RTP Company invested in TPE testing and manufacturing equipment, including the </p><p> establishment of a new research lab.
