<p>PLEASE RETAIN FOR YOUR RECORDS </p><p>Guidance Notes- ATHLETICS TALENTED SPORTS PERFORMER AWARD </p><p>These guidance notes are specific for Athletics Talented Sports Performers. The levels indicated on the original TSP form have now been replaced by those below.</p><p>These notes should accompany the application form. Complete and return by the closing date. Can I also remind you that you should not under any circumstances get the form signed by the NGB. This is completed after the form has been submitted to this office. The form will be returned to you in such cases and this may jeopardise your successful application.</p><p>Please be aware that the closing dates for the Talented Sports Performer Grant Awards are 31 January/ 31 July. (Forms received after these dates will not be considered). This award is for individuals who either live in Glasgow or belong to a Glasgow club, if you do not make these basic criteria then you will be ineligible for this award. The applicant must also meet one of the following criteria (as detailed in the accompanying table)- selected by their National Governing Body to represent their sport at either Scottish or UK level or have been identified by their National Governing Body as a performer with the potential to succeed. </p><p>Successful applicants will be awarded a card which will entitle them to free access to Glasgow Life facilities for training in their sport and a small monetary amount may also be available depending upon the applicants’ performance level. </p><p>Applicants will know the outcome of their application approximately 4 months after the closing date.</p><p>Please retain the fact file that is attached to the form for future reference. Criteria for Athletics TSP awards (please note:- these will be strictly adhered to) CATEGORY A CATEGORY B ATHLETICS LIVING GLASGOW EITHER LIVING IN PERFORMANCE STATUS AND BELONGING TO GLASGOW OR LEVEL A GLASGOW CLUB BELONGING TO A GLASGOW CLUB Level 1 Have competed for the full National Governing Body Team £300 + TSP Card £150 + TSP Card Defined as: - International Representation - Being selected to represent Great Britain (U.K. Athletics) or Scottish Athletics Representative and Scottish Disability Sport National Teams are the only acceptable representation.</p><p>Level 2 Have competed for the National Governing Body Team (Scotland or Great £150 + TSP Card £75 + TSP Card Britain) at Age Group level International Representation Defined as: - Being selected to represent Great Britain (U.K. Athletics) or Scottish Athletics Representative and Scottish Disability Sport National Teams are the only acceptable representation. (This excludes Masters/ Veterans competitions) Level 3 Have been selected as a squad member for the National/Development Team £50 + TSP Card £25 + TSP Card (Scotland or Great Britain) at full or Age Group Level. Defined as: - Membership of the following Development Squads is acceptable: Scottish Athletics National Elite Performance Squad/Scottish Athletics National Squad/Scottish Athletics Development Squad/Scottish Disability Sport National Squad and Glasgow Athletics 2014 Squad. (This excludes Masters/ Veterans competitions) Level 4 Have been identified by the National Governing Body as a performer with the TSP Card Only TSP Card Only potential to succeed. Defined as: - Talent ID determined by the performance Team at SAL using Po10 to ID Under 15 age group athletes ranked in the top 20 UK Ranking List per event.
