In order to successfully accomplish these two worthwhile tasks, the Heritage Foundation relies on donations and revenue generated from its museum business operations, which includes the Museum Store, Tun Tavern, Mess Hall rifle range simulator and special events. My purpose in sending you this letter is to solicit your support for a reciprocal agreement linking the Museum Store web site to your site and vice versa in a mutually beneficial partnership,. Not only will your approval assist us in marketing our retail operation – by allowing us to continue support of the National Museum – but will also assist you in attracting new members and additional revenue.</p><p>The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation considers the National Museum of the Marine Corps to be the “Marine House,” where all visitors … military and civilian … are warmly welcomed. Since opening on 10 November 2006, over 1.3 million visitors have enjoyed the museum’s hospitality. We expect to reach the 1.5 million visitor mark within the year … a remarkable achievement for a military museum. One highlight our visitors experience is the Museum Store, which features museum and Marine originated gifts and souvenirs. The store itself is a unique environment, closely patterned after the museum with artifacts and displays throughout its themed décor. From its camouflaged patterned carpet, to it guidon bedecked overhear, the Museum Store projects the history and legacy of the Corps.
