Ownby, Director</p><p>Beginning Band Instruments August 2010 Dear Parents,</p><p>We have finished our instrument tryouts in beginning band and are now ready to get started with instruments. To aid you in this process, a music dealer representative will be here on Monday, August 30, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. We will meet in the Middle School Band room. Please feel free to come by anytime during these times. They offer both a rent to own plan and a purchase plan. I will be here to assist you in any way that I can during this process. Please bring this letter with you. Students will need an instrument in class on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. If you have any questions concerning this process, please feel free to call me at school or email at [email protected]. Also, on the back of this letter, you will find a list of recommended instrument brands. There are some wonderful instruments available today, but there are also many brands that do not offer quality instruments and should be avoided.
