<p> Page 1 SHOP JOB DESCRIPTIONS</p><p>WAREHOUSE TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT</p><p>Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor</p><p>Direct Reports: None</p><p>Overall Scope of the Position: The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining the tools used within the shop. This is done through a combination of scheduled maintenance and break down service.</p><p>Key Responsibilities and Authority:  Monitoring the work area to ensure general organization, tidiness, and safe working conditions. Taking corrective action when required.  Maintaining the Tool Crib including:  issuing tools as needed  ordering tools  monitoring inventory of tools.  Initiating maintenance and repairing shop equipment including:  performing maintenance and repair tasks directly.  performing preventative maintenance.  notifying Purchasing of any tools that need to be sent out for repair.  Requisitioning shop supplies and welding consumables for shop.  Issuing toolboxes to new men, inventorying toolboxes, and issuing receipts.  Performing receiving inspection for shop supplies and welding consumables  Ensuring rod ovens are kept full.  Distributing job specific welding consumables and maintaining the consumables log book.  Assisting Warehouse Supervisor on request.</p><p>Skills Required or Developed:  Operating overhead crane.  Operating forklift.  Good organizational skills.  Small tool operation and repair.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</p><p>Controlled by: Tool Crib Attendant Approved by: Subcont/WH Manager Rev: 4 March 1, 2012 Subcont/WH Manager Page 1 of 1 Dacro Intranet > Human Resources > Job Descriptions > Shop Job Descriptions</p>
