Motion by: Denise Kuhnheim Second by: Matthew Tootle Discussion: Vote: Passed Unanimously</p><p>Approval to File Voucher List: VOUCHER LIST (All vouchers available in the office for review) Sign Then and Now Certificates if applicable Board Action #16-3 Approval to File Voucher List for Vouchers since last Board Meeting Motion by: Denise Kuhnheim Second by: Matthew Tootle Discussion: Vote: Passed Unanimously</p><p>COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR: None</p><p>COMMITTEE REPORTS Ethics Committee: The Ethics Council approved direct service contracts for Pam Mills and Karema Aljuborey.</p><p>SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT  Advocate Report - None  BYS Report by Christine Croyle o PCBDD has a written agreement with Teays Valley School District. o School staff visited Teays Valley to determine classroom space. o Parents/family members had an opportunity to visit Teays Valley School. o Teachers observed Teays Valley High School as part of the Resident Educator program. o Hosted a joint professional development session for teachers from Teays Valley and BYS. o School staff attended ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) training. o Teachers will be attending a STACK (Structured Teaching for Autistic and Communication-</p><p> delayed Kids) training. o Jeff Rawlins participated in the “Leaders are Readers” program. Jeff shared his experience.  SSA Report by Marie Wilbanks o Heather Foll was hired as the Community Connections Coordinator. o Presented a sensitivity training for the Health Department employees. o Presented an overview of Board services at a Family and Children First Council meeting. o CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) requested a presentation of Board services. o Hosted a Provider Roundtable – A chance to have open conversation with independent providers and provider agencies. o Workgroups are formed to create action plans for all strategic goals.  Enrollment Status Report reviewed  Circleville Herald 1-5-16 (Included in Board Packet)  Parent Professional Communication (Included in Board Packet)  School to Adult Life Transition (Included in Board Packet)  Article from the DODD Pipeline Weekly, dated January 19th, titled “6% Rate Increase Implemented” was shared.  Memorandum from John Martin dated January 14, regarding Board Member In-Service Training, was shared and discussed. Options for Board In-service will be presented at the February meeting.</p><p>UNFINISHED BUSINESS</p><p>Board Policy, Chapter 2: The first reading of the Board Policy, Chapter 2, was December 9, 2015. No comments were received. Board Action #16-4 Approve Board Policy, Chapter 2. Motion by: Jeff Rawlins Second by: Kristin Gardner Discussion: Vote: Passed Unanimously</p><p>NEW BUSINESS</p><p>Approve Annual Contract with Southern Ohio Council of Governments (SOCOG): PCBDD is a current member of SOCOG. The standard contract renews our membership, continues our agreement with SOCOG to provide investigative agent services, medicine administration quality assessment (MAQA) reviews, and receptionist/advocacy service. Annual membership fee is $500.00, administrative overhead is $1,202.00, and all other services are based on hourly costs or per review. Board Action #16-5 Authorize the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with Southern Ohio Council of Governments for annual membership, investigative agent services, receptionist/advocacy services, and medicine administration quality assessment. Motion by: Kristin Gardner Second by: Denise Kuhnheim Discussion: Vote: Passed Unanimously</p><p>OTHER BUSINESS</p><p> Approve Paid Internship with Ohio Christian University Student: Many individuals and families rely on independent providers (IP) for services. To increase the number of good qualified IP, I would like to offer an internship to assist in recruiting IP at Ohio Christian University (OCU). The intern would be a student at OCU and costs limited to $55.00 per week. The intern would make presentations to other students, attend job fairs, and work with potential IP to navigate the system to become certified providers. Board Action #16-6 Authorize the Superintendent to enter into a paid internship contract through December 31, 2016, for the purpose of recruiting independent providers, and costs limited to $55.00 per week.
