<p> ANNOUNCING THE NINTH ANNUAL MAGISTRATE INTENSIVE TRAINING AUGUST 20-24, 2012</p><p>The Magistrates Advisory Council, the SC Commission on Prosecution Coordination, the SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center, and the SC Judicial Department are again offering a week-long intensive training for Magistrates and Municipal Judges, which will be held August 20-24, 2012 , at Midlands Technical College, Northeast Campus, 151 Powell Road, Columbia, SC 29203 Contact: 803-732 -0432. The tentative schedule appears below.</p><p>Monday: DUI, CDV, Jury Charges, Voir Dire Tuesday: Arrest Warrants, Offense Elements, Bonding Issues Wednesday: Fees/Assessments, Electronic Research, Evidence, Ethics Thursday: Landlord/Tenant, Contract Law, Claim and Delivery, Bankruptcy Friday: Debt Collection/Consumer Law (Half Day Only) </p><p>Magistrate tuition for the full five days of the seminar is $125.00 (continental breakfast included), and qualifies for 30 hours of CLE credit, including 2 hours of ethics and CDV training requirement. Magistrates may choose to attend only the administrative and civil portion of the seminar, which is Wednesday through Friday, for $75.00. Municipal Judges may attend Monday through Wednesday. Tuition for those three days of the seminar is $75.00 (continental breakfast included), and qualifies for 18 hours of CLE credit, including 2 hours of ethics. The seminar will be presented from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
