<p> Illinois Association of Couple and Family Counselors (IACFC) Division Report July 2016 Membership  Membership currently stands at 93, up a little from the previous month.</p><p>Financial Our accounts are balanced; a recent routine audit in the past few months found no problems. We received $186.00 from ICA for dues in March.</p><p>Activities  We are sponsoring IACFC member Cecilia Guzman, LCPC, of the Center For Family Cconsultation, toward her presentation at the 2016 November Conference on a topic related to Bowen theory of family systems.  Secretary Sheerine Bazargani and President-elect Hector Zavala have submitted a proposal for a Panel Discussion: The graduate’s search for internships in couples and family counseling.  We have initiated developing a relationship with Northeastern Illinois University's CESA through the efforts of member and new Membership Committee Chair Ruth Johnson.  Ruth worked with CESA at NEIU, and NEIU’s Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society - Chi Sigma Iota, Chi Epsilon Sigma (CES),to bring speakers to NEIU for a highly successful combined workshop on May 26: It’s Theoretical: Relational Treatment Planning in Individually-Oriented Mental Health Systems by Laura Tejada, PhD, LMFT, LCPC, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor; and Workshop: Latino/a Issues in Counseling by Hector Zavala, LCPC. Seventeen students and counseling practitioners attended; both presentations earned high praise in attendee evaluations. More such workshop collaborations with NEIU will be planned in the future.  President Catherine Wells has re-initiated developing IACFC's relationship with UIS.  Meet and Greets were held in Evanston by President-elect Mariann Smith and in Colllinsville by President Catherine Wells. • IACFC is co-sponsoring Illinois Counseling Association Foundation's workshop/retreat Continuing Learning, Caring for Myself, Connecting with others. This event will take place on June 17th.
