<p> East View High School</p><p>Mathletes </p><p>Application for Membership</p><p>Come be a part of The East View High School’s Math Club!!! In this club you will have the opportunity to take competitive math exams to earn extra credit in your current math classes. These are the same exams that will be offered in Mu Alpha Theta. If you are not eligible to apply for Mu Alpha Theta, yet, but still want to join in the fun, then Mathletes is the place to be! By being a member of this club you will have community service opportunities and the option of being in UIL Math events. Competing in math competitions, participating in service projects and being a part of the UIL Team all look great on college applications. Your application must be renewed each school year.</p><p>We look for ward to seeing you on Tuesday September 8 th at 3:50 in room 221 for our informational meeting!</p><p>If you can not attend the meeting please see, Mrs. Taylor in room 221.</p><p>Please return the completed form and payment to Mrs. Taylor in Room 221 (or to her box) by SEPTEMBER 25 th . Completed forms may also be submitted to current Mu Alpha Theta Officers, or to your math teacher. The Exams will be given in room 221 before school 8-8:40 and after school from 4 – 4:40. Please see Mrs Taylor for Exam dates.</p><p>Please read the statements below and provide your signature if they are true for you. </p><p> I would like to be an active member supporting the organization’s activities such as monthly meetings, community service projects, fundraisers, and participating in math-related activities such as, attending math programs, and/ or participating in math contests.  I understand that the annual Dues will be $25, this will cover the cost of a team designed t-shirt (we will be discussing the design at the informational meeting) and the cost of the math competitions.
