<p> Project #2 – Presentation of the Data</p><p>Now that you have collected your data, you need to begin the process of organizing the data and presenting it for analysis. As we have seen this year, looking at a long list of data points in a non-organized fashion makes it very difficult to understand and draw conclusions from. In order to do any type of analysis, we must present the data in a way that readers and understand and begin to draw conclusions.</p><p>Some people prefer to see data in its numeric form. Others are more visual and prefer to see the data in a graphical format. Generally, neither method is preferred over the other. It is actually a matter of how different readers like to work with data.</p><p>Your assignment will be to summarize the data you collected in two formats. One will be numeric and the other will be graphical. The following are the details of this part of your analysis.</p><p>I. Numerical Data Presentation</p><p>A. Create summary statistics for analyzing the data. You must include a measure of center and variability. B. Include a 5 number summary for your data. C. Using the numeric data above analyze the presence of skew or symmetry. D. Using the appropriate numeric statistics identify the presence of any outlier data. II. Graphical Data Presentation</p><p>A. Create a graphical display of your data. The display should be appropriate for a time-series analysis. Make sure you create the graphical display using statistical software or a program such as Excel. Also make sure that you include appropriate titles and labels.</p><p>B. You must also create a second graphical display of the 5 number summary that you created in the numeric section. Make sure that this is created using appropriate scales, labels and titles.</p><p>III. Analysis and conclusions</p><p>In this part of the project, you must write a formal analysis of the numeric and graphical data presentations that you created in the first parts of this analysis. Be sure to comment on all of the items that must be discussed when analyzing data – center, variability, shape, gaps/outliers. Since this is a time-series analysis, we cannot really comment on gaps, however there may be outliers present.</p><p>You should also comment on your general observations about the data. You should discuss trends that you see and anything that appears to be interesting in the numeric and graphical displays of the data.</p><p>Finally, you should also discuss any initial questions and hypotheses that you may have regarding this data. </p><p>Your final write-up should be 2 to 3 pages in length, including the numeric and graphical displays. Makes sure your written description of the data is 1 to 2 paragraphs in length and you devote 2 paragraphs to questions and hypotheses that you have come up with and can support with the data.</p><p>Your write-up will be typed and handed in. It should be double spaced, Times New Roman font with a point size of 12.</p><p>This project will be due Monday February 13, 2017.</p>
