The Maintenance Choice® program.</p><p>Maintenance Choice gives you the option of picking up your 90-day maintenance prescriptions at a CVS retail pharmacy rather than receiving them through the mail.</p><p>Here’s how it works: After you receive your second fill of a 30-day supply of a Maintenance Medication prescribed by your doctor, you have the option to receive future 90-day supply refills through CVS Caremark mail order pharmacy or at a local CVS retail pharmacy. </p><p>Maintenance vs. Non-Maintenance </p><p>Maintenance drugs are prescription medication taken continuously to manage chronic or long-term conditions, such as high blood pressure, asthma, diabetes, or high cholesterol, and when dosage adjustments are either no longer required or made infrequently.</p><p>Non-maintenance drugs include:</p><p> Antibiotics that treat infection.  Drugs used for pain and/or acute medical conditions.  Drugs not taken chronically on an ongoing basis  Drugs that have a specified course of therapy.  Drugs that the physician must occasionally adjust the dose for a patient</p><p>Mail order or retail store pharmacy – the choice is yours!</p><p>Advantages of CVS Caremark mail Advantages of a CVS retail order pharmacy: pharmacy location:</p><p>Pick up your medications directly Convenient home delivery from the pharmacy at a time that is convenient for you.</p><p>Receive your medications in confidential, tamper resistant and Same-day prescription availability (when necessary) temperature- controlled packaging. </p><p>Have questions?
