The final product will be a Power Point presentation on your topic with a bibliography. 1. Examine all of the documents in your group’s folder. 2. Determine which sources are primary and which are secondary. 3. Record important ideas, concepts, and direct quotations from significant information sources and paraphrase and summarize all perspectives on the topic, as appropriate. 4. Develop a thesis statement on your topic that includes its relationship to the Holocaust. 5. Prepare a Power Point presentation to present to the class using the format on the reverse side of this sheet. Primary Source: documents and records that contain firsthand knowledge, such as maps, diaries, interviews and letters. Secondary Source: interpretations of primary materials produced by others such as encyclopedia entries, newspaper articles, online information sites. Power Point Presentation Format</p><p>Your presentation should contain the following slides:</p><p>1. The name of your topic, the first and last names of all of the people in your group, your period, the date. 2. Thesis statement about your topic including how it is related to the Holocaust, a related photograph or graphic. 3. A list of all of the resources that were in your folder and whether each is a primary or secondary source. 4. This slide should answer WHAT your topic is. 5. This slide should answer WHEN your topic took place, and have the date marked on a timeline of events. 6. This slide should answer WHERE your topic took place and include a map with the location marked on it. 7. This slide should answer WHY your topic took place. 8. This slide should tell how your topic is related to the Holocaust and include examples of how it relates to our modern society. 9. Works Cited slide. Use http://citationmachine.net/ to create.
