<p> MARICOPA COMMUNITY COLLEGES Maricopa Jr. ACE Advisory Board Meeting Rio Conference Center, 2nd Floor May 12, 2009 4:00-6:30 pm Notes</p><p>Welcome &  Pam Yabeny welcomed the group at 4:15 PM Introductions  Members introduced themselves</p><p>Middle  190 had responded through Survey Monkey, survey is now closed School  Pam summarized the responses Teacher  Responses were obtained from Tucson and Phoenix Metro areas, possibly not from Northern Arizona Survey</p><p>Goals and  Pam reviewed the goals Outcomes  Steve has contributed to the revision of the outcomes  Revised goals 1 and 4  Added goal on other post-secondary tracks and adjusted the mission statement to reflect the same, then changed it back to original wording.  Goal 5 on parent involvement was adjusted and added to the strategies  Strategies were reworded  Goals and Outcomes were completed and accepted by members present</p><p>Credit-  Pam reviewed the timeline, Parent and Student Institute from CAP at UofA, and partnerships slides Receiving  Pam reviewed “college readiness” definition and checklist. It was decided to put in addition to receipt Model of survey.  Noreen: Compare college readiness to ADE 4-year plan: ECAP 4+4 Academic  Pam reviewed the timeline Enrichment  Writing was added Model  Use sample curricula and get sources for reading, math, science, etc.  Curricula must meet the goals of the program but not be too restrictive  Noreen will send international standards  How often should students meet with an ACE advisor?
