<p>For Immediate Release</p><p>January 23, 2017 Contact: Emily Grabiec, Director of Education and Outreach 434.395.2648 / [email protected]</p><p>Art to Your Heart’s Content: Valentine Making Free Family Workshop at LCVA, Saturday, February 4th</p><p>All are welcome to join the LCVA for our 15th Annual Valentine’s Day Free Family Workshop, Art to Your Heart’s Content on Saturday, February 4th from 10:30am to 12:30pm. As love songs fill the air, children will have the opportunity to participate in multiple art activities that embrace historic Valentine’s Day traditions. There is a perfect art project for everyone’s sweetie pie at this event!</p><p>Art projects include, flower-making, hand-crafted and stamped envelopes, decorating hearts, weaving yarn knots, creating your own mailbox, hand tracing, vintages valentines, and design your own valentines. There will also be face-painting and a reading corner! This event is free and open to the public; no registration is required. Supplies and plenty of smiling and skilled volunteers will be on hand! Children must be accompanied by an adult. </p><p>Art to Your Heart’s Content is part of a series of Free Family Workshops offered by LCVA. Workshops are designed to bring the family together in an enriching and creative environment to celebrate annual events throughout the year.</p><p>LCVA would like to thank Centra Southside Community Hospital for graciously sponsoring this event; without them, this Free Family Workshop would not be possible.</p><p>When and Where: Saturday, February 4th, 2017. Doors open at 10:30am (doors open at 10:00 for LCVA Friends & Partners) at the Longwood Center for the Visual Arts at the intersection of Third Street & Main Street in historic downtown Farmville, VA. This program is free and open to the public. </p><p>About LCVA: The Longwood Center for the Visual Arts presents a rotating program of inspiring and conversation-starting exhibitions and engaging Free Family Workshops. Admission to LCVA and its programs is—and always has been—free for all. LCVA is located at the intersection of Main and Third Streets (129 North Main Street) in Farmville, Virginia.
