<p> Introduction to the DRDP (2015) ))</p><p>The Desired Results Developmental Profile (2015) will be implemented in the fall of 2015. Below is a brief description of the upcoming instrument</p><p>Federal Requirements for the DRDP</p><p>The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004) requires all states to report progress toward three child outcomes through an Annual Performance Report (APR) for both Part B and Part C. Since 2007, California Department of Education (CDE) has used data from the DRDP access to meet these requirements. In the fall of 2015, the DRDP (2015) will replace all the DRDP access to meet these requirements and to inform program planning. </p><p>Key Features of the DRDP (2015)  Designed for all children, including those with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)</p><p> Focuses on progress, not deficits </p><p> Meets federal and state accountability requirements</p><p> Scaled and normed on a large sample of children from California using a Rasch measurement model</p><p>Organization of the DRDP (2015)  The DRDP (2015) has two views: an infant toddler view for use in early intervention programs and a preschool view for use with preschool programs and services.</p><p> The preschool view contains measures that cover the infant-toddler range and those that cover a range from birth to kindergarten entry.</p><p> The preschool version contains all the measures: the earlier development measures, the full continuum measures, and later development measures. </p><p>Guidance from the CDE Special Education Division  Special education programs will use the DRDP access to assess children with IFSPs and IEPs for the fall 2014 and spring 2015 reporting periods. </p><p> All technical assistance, online reports, and training for special education for the DRDP access, will continue this year</p><p> Special education will implement the DRDP (2015) in the fall of 2015.
