<p>9.63 UNION COUNTY 10-11-17</p><p>9.63.1 SYSTEM SUMMARY</p><p>Union County’s existing E911 system is the Solacom Guardian Next-Generation E911 Controller / 3 Workstations. The system was installed in January of 2011 and final acceptance and testing was performed by 3/1/11. It is designed to support both legacy and Next Generation E911 calls and new types of requests for assistance, such as SMS and texting, as they become defined and available. The system includes an integrated IP PBX and supports all of the standard telephony interfaces, provides voice management, automatic call distribution and data retrieval. Union County’s system also includes a local database for records management, MIS, and Selective Routing capabilities. Additional audio equipment for each workstation was installed and operational on 3/4/2014. .</p><p>9.63.1.1 UNION COUNTY E911 CENTER</p><p>The Union County E911 Center is located in Lake Butler. It is operated by the Union County Office of Emergency Management / E911 Department.</p><p>All E911 calls for Union County are routed to this Primary PSAP.</p><p>9.63.2 SYSTEM MANAGEMENT</p><p>The Union County E9-1-1 system is managed by an E9-1-1 County Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator. The responsible fiscal agent is the Board of County Commissioners.</p><p>9.63.3 INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS</p><p>The Union County E911 system utilizes selective routing through AT&T / Windstream, thereby eliminating all central office overlaps with adjoining counties. There is no specific requirement for an inter-local agreement; however, Union County maintains an agreement with Bradford County to handle transferred (Selective Router) calls in an emergency.
